1. Who we are

This website is operated by PG App Studios, based in the Algarve, Portugal, which publishes the Portugal Lifestyle Pro app. In this policy "we", "our" and "us" mean PG App Studios.

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers this website only — the pages at www.portugallifestylepro.com, including the guides, the free browser games and the feedback page.

The Portugal Lifestyle Pro mobile app is a separate product and is covered by its own privacy policy, which you can read on the app's App Store and Google Play listings and inside the app itself. The app collects things this website does not, such as learning progress tied to an account and voice recordings for pronunciation practice. Nothing in this policy applies to the app, and nothing in the app's policy applies to this website.

The web app at portugal-lifestyle.com is also a separate service with its own terms.

3. Information you give us

There is exactly one way to give us personal information on this website: the feedback and ideas form.

That form is hosted by Google Forms and embedded on our feedback page. It asks why you are interested in Portuguese, which features you want, which topics interest you, your current Portuguese level, and — optionally — your email address. Every field is yours to leave blank. If you submit the form:

• Your answers are stored in Google Forms and are visible to us.
• We use them to decide what to build next in the app and what to write about on this site.
• If you give an email address, we may use it to reply to you or to tell you when something you asked for has shipped. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone else.
• Because the form is embedded from Google, loading the feedback page means Google receives your request for that form and may set its own cookies. Google's handling of that is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

You can ask us to delete your form response at any time by emailing us.

4. Information collected automatically

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-2N19XEBNK1) to understand how the site is used — which guides people read, which games they play, and where visitors come from. The analytics script is loaded from googletagmanager.com and, in the course of that, Google processes:

• Pages you view on this site and how long you spend on them
• Approximate location, derived from your IP address (Google Analytics 4 does not store the full IP address)
• Device type, browser and operating system
• The site or search that referred you here
• Two events we defined ourselves: store_click, recorded when someone taps an App Store or Google Play link, and feedback_click, recorded when someone opens the feedback form. Both record which page the click happened on and which button was used — not who clicked.

Google Analytics sets cookies and identifiers in your browser to recognise a returning visit. We use this only in aggregate: we look at totals and trends, and we make no attempt to identify individual visitors. We have not enabled Google Signals, advertising features or cross-device tracking.

Be aware: analytics currently loads on every visit, without a consent banner. If you would rather not be counted, section 7 lists the ways to opt out.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel's servers process the technical details needed to deliver a page — your IP address, the file requested, your browser's user agent, and the time of the request — and keep short-lived operational logs for security and reliability. 5. What the free games store in your browser

The free games save your progress so you do not lose your unlocked levels when you close the tab. This is stored using your browser's own storage on your own device. It is never transmitted to us and we cannot read it.

• plp_ws_lv, plp_wm_lv, plp_bw_lv, plp_sb_lv, plp_num_lv — the highest level you have completed in each of the five games
• plp_num_best — your best streak in the Numbers Game
• ctaDismissed — remembers that you closed the download banner, so it does not reappear for the rest of your visit

Clearing your browser's site data for this domain erases all of it, and your game progress resets to level one.

6. What we never do

• We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
• We do not run advertising on this website, and there are no ad-network trackers or retargeting pixels on it.
• We do not have affiliate links on this website.
• We do not build profiles of individual visitors or make automated decisions about you.
• We do not ask for payment details anywhere on this site. Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple and Google inside the app.

7. Your choices

You can opt out of analytics in any of these ways:

• Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Turn on your browser's tracking protection, or use any content blocker — the analytics script is blocked by all the common ones, and the site works perfectly without it.
• Browse in a private window and clear site data when you finish.

To leave nothing behind at all: clear this site's cookies and storage in your browser settings. Note that we do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, because there is no agreed standard for honouring them.

8. Your rights

Because we are based in Portugal, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to how we handle personal data. You have the right to ask us to: give you a copy of any personal data we hold about you; correct it if it is wrong; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; or provide it in a portable format.

In practice, the only personal data we hold from this website is what you typed into the feedback form. Email portugallifestyleapp@gmail.com and we will action your request. There is no charge, and we aim to respond within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your national data protection authority. In Portugal that is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for asking. We do not sell personal information as that term is defined under the CCPA.

9. How long we keep things

• Feedback form responses: kept while they are still useful for planning the app, and deleted on request.
• Analytics data: retained by Google under our account settings, for a maximum of 14 months.
• Browser storage: stays on your device until you clear it. We have no copy.

10. International transfers

Google and Vercel are United States companies and may process data outside the European Economic Area. Both operate under the transfer mechanisms permitted by EU law, including Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

11. Children

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our feedback form, email us and we will delete it.

12. Links to other sites

This site links out to the Apple App Store, Google Play, our web app and, in the guides, to official Portuguese government sources. Once you follow a link, you are on someone else's site under their privacy policy, not ours.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change how this website handles data, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the homepage.
